2 Toned Blue Paper Bead Necklaces, Uganda
These necklaces are handmade in the Acholi Quarter of Uganda by a group of 100 women. These women are provided an education, vocational skills, and more through Project Have Hope.
Paper beads are made by cutting recycled paper into long triangular strips. Then rolling each strip into a bead. The bead then glued and dipped into a clear varnish to give it durability, hardness, and sheen. It takes about a day to complete a necklace.
